Laser method of face treating in which a laser ray removes the upper layer of the damaged or wrinkled skin is called resurfacing. The result of resurfacing is smoothing of lines and cicatricae, stretching of skin and overall rejuvenation. Resurfacing is usually performed in the so-called analgosedation (controlled sleep) and one-day hospitalization is usually recommended after the surgery. When using anaesthesia the surgery can be combined with other aesthetic surgeries in face, e.g. lifting, eye-lid surgery etc. Compared to photo-rejuvenation resurfacing is more invasive; however, it produces better and long lasting results.
